The proposed garage with workshop / store above, by reason of its scale and isolated position away from other buildings, would form a prominent and intrusive feature on the edge of the settlement and would detract from the landscape setting of the village.  As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policies G2, D1, C4 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policies CSEN1 and CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and the advice in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
