Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 24th December 2013
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed solar panels, due to their size, design and position would introduce a substantial discordant element on the south facing slope of the building. The panels would have a harmful impact on the special interest and character of the listed building and would detract from views of the building from the public domain. As such the proposal is contrary to Policy CON3 and CON5 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, Policy CSEN3 of the Core Strategy and guidance contained within the National Planning Policy Framework.
