That, having regard to the layout, in respect of the proposed access and private drive in particular, and the juxtaposition with surrounding development, the scheme represents a contrived and unsatisfactory layout that does not provide for a satisfactory comprehensive form of development. As such, the proposal would detract from the character of the area contrary to saved policies G2, D1 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, advice in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide and the NPPF.
