Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 13th November 2012
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the location of the proposed access and the substandard vision splays available, the proposal would be detrimental to highway safety and to the safety of users of the highway, contrary to policy T1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan and to paragraph 32 of the National Planning Policy Framework.

That the current area of hardstanding does not meet with current dimensional standards for a parking space and would lead to the likelihood of parked vehicles causing an obstruction to the footway to the detriment of pedestrian safety. It therefore does not accord with policies T1 and T2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan. It is however acknowledged that this reason for refusal could be overcome.
