Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 31st August 2012
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its size, bulk, design and its prominent position on the principal front elevation, the proposed extension would fail to respect the special historic interest and architectural quality of the building that makes it worthy of inclusion on the statutory list. The extension would also break through the front wall and thatched roof of the building in an unsatisfactory manner, causing an unacceptable loss of historic fabric. As such, it is contrary to the provisions of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, in particular Policies CON2 and CON3 and advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide and The National Planning Policy Framework.
