Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The works hereby permitted shall be begun not later than three years from the date of this consent. Reason: To comply with the provisions of section 18(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended by section 51 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

That the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the details shown on the attached schedule of approved plans dated 22 May 2015 except as controlled or modified by conditions of this permission. Reason: To secure the proper planning of the area in accordance with Development Plan policies. Related application(s): P18/S2633/DIS

Samples of any new materials required to achieve the approved works to the following buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the relevant part of the work has begun. Thereafter the works shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details. 1. Synagogue 2. Dry Boathouse and Gottleib gallery 3. Wet Boat House Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policies CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011. A schedule of repairs necessary to achieve the approved works to the following historic buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the relevant parts of the work are commenced. 1. Synagogue 2. Ampitheatre 3. Dry Boat House and Gottleib gallery Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Prior to the commencement of works to each of the buildings listed below, a photographic survey of the following buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority: 1. Synagogue 2. Dry Boathouse and Gottleib gallery 3. Boat House Reason: To ensure a record of the building and to safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

The stained glass windows shall be protected during conversion works and thereafter retained in full following completion of the conversion Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Details of all new flues, vents and extract equipment to be provided to serve the following buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority prior to the relevant part of the work commencing. Thereafter, the works shall take place in accordance with the approved details. 1. Synagogue 2. Dry Boat House and Gottleib gallery Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Internal and external joinery details at a scale no smaller than 1:20 for all new windows and doors required as part of the approved works for the following buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority prior to the relevant part of the works commencing. Thereafter, the works shall take place in accordance with the approved details. 1. Synagogue 2. Dry Boat House and Gottleib gallery 3. Wet Boat House Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

A schedule of internal finishes required to achieve the approved works shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority for the following buildings prior to the relevant part of the work commencing. Thereafter, the works shall take place in accordance with the approved details. 1. Dry Boat House and Gottleib gallery Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

A schedule and assessment of the historic internal features of the house and confirmation of those features that will be retained shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority prior to the conversion works commencing. Thereafter, the works shall take place in accordance with the approved details. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON2 and CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
