Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th November 2011
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to Policies G6, H13 and D1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, and advice contained in paragraphs 6.2.3 and 6.3.4 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008. Having regard to the excessive depth and height of the extension and its location on the front of the property, the proposals would result in a form of development that would detract from the form and appearance of the dwelling and the appearance of the dwelling in the street scene.

The proposals are contrary to Policies G6 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan and to advice contained in paragraph 6.2.2 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008. Having regard to the excessive size and bulk of the extension and to its location in relation to adjoining properties, the proposals would result in an unneighbourly, intrusive and overbearing form of development that would result in the loss of light to and detract from the residential amenities currently enjoyed by the occupants of adjoining properties.
