Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 29th July 2011
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The granary makes a positive contribution to the farmstead setting and historic plan form. The proposed removal of this curtilage listed building from its current location would distort its history and relocation outside of the historic farm group would detract from its special architectural and historic interest and the setting of the surrounding listed buildings. There is also insufficient justification to demonstrate that the granary cannot be repaired in-situ. As such, the proposed development would be contrary to Policies G2, G6, CON3, CON5 and D1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and advice contained within government guidance in PPS5.
