The proposals are contrary to Policies CON2 and CON4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008, and to advice contained in PPS 5 Planning for the Historic Environment. Having regard to the L shaped form of the extension, the proposals represent development that would fail to preserve the simple agricultural character and form of this curtilage listed building.
The proposals are contrary to Policies CON5, CON7 and CON10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and to advice contained in PPS5 Planning for the Historic Environment. Having regard to the L shaped form of the extension, the proposals represent development that would fail to preserve the linear form and character of the burgage plot in which the building sits and would not preserve the historic character of the Conservation Area and setting of the curtilage listed building.
