Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th October 2010
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The structures proposed for demolition make a positive contribution to the character and appearance of the Shillingford Conservation Area by reason of their architecture and historic association with Shillingford Court. The loss of the glasshouses is undesirable and the case for their demolition does not justify the harm to the local distinctiveness of the area or to the character or appearance of the conservation area. As such the proposal is contrary to policies CON6 and CON7 of the Local Plan, as well as policies HE7.4, HE7.6, HE9.1 and HE9.4 of PPS5. Related application(s): P13/S1332/DIS
