Article 10 of the Habitats Directive also stresses the importance of natural networks of linked corridors to allow movement of species between suitable habitats, and promote the expansion of biodiversity. Such networks may also help wildlife adapt to climate change in accordance with Policy C6 in the interest of the protection of the wildlife value of the site.
If the development hereby approved is not commenced within one year of the date of this consent a further wildlife survey of the site shall be carried out to update the information on the species and the impact of development and the report of survey together with an amended mitigation strategy as appropriate shall be submitted to and be approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority, and shall be thereafter be implemented as agreed.
Reason: In the interest of the protection of the wildlife value of the site.
