Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The works hereby permitted shall be begun not later than three years from the date of this consent. Reason: To comply with the provisions of section 18(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.

That the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the details shown on the following approved plans, Detailed survey drawing Nos. G110027_202, G110027_203, G110027_204, G110027_205; Repair details Drawing Nos. NR/CIV/SD/104, NR/CIV/SD/107,NR/CIV/SD/109, NR/CIV/SD/110, NR/CIV/SD/111, NR/CIV/SD/116, except as controlled or modified by conditions of this permission. Reason: To secure the proper planning of the area in accordance with Development Plan policies.

All new works and works of making good to the retained internal and external fabric of the viaduct shall be finished to match the adjacent work with regard to the methods used and to material, colour, texture and profile. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building and in accordance with Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That all works for removal of existing pointing, and re-pointing to be undertaken using hand tools. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building and in accordance with Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

The mortar used in repairs shall be lime mortar to match in colour texture and pointing style that of the original construction. A sample panel of repointing is to be completed on site to be inspected by the Local Planning Authority and approved in writing prior to commencement of re-pointing phases of work. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Prior to the commencement of works, samples of new brick and stone to be used in the repairs shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building and in accordance with Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
