That the proposals are contrary to Policies G2, G6, C2, CON3, CON5 and D9 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and to advice contained in PPS5 Planning for the Historic Environment. Having regard to the large range of solar panels proposed on the roof of the building, to the proximity of Bassett Manor and to the prominence of the building within the landscape, the proposed development would appear as an alien feature which would detract from the character of the curtilage listed building, from the setting of Bassett Manor, a Grade 11 listed building, and from the views of the buildings within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
