Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to Policies G2, G4, C1, D1 and A1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and to advice contained in PPS1 and PPS7. Having regard to the lack of evidence of agricultural use of the land and agricultural business submitted with the application, and to the lack of evidence of agricultural use of land on the ground, the Local Planning Authority consider that the proposed building is not required in connection with the agricultural use of the land. In addition, having regard to the scale, design and materials proposed for the construction of the building and to its siting, the proposals would result in the erection of a building not designed for agricultural purposes in an isolated position which would detract from the rural character of the area.
