That, by reason of the scale and design of the proposed side extension and its projection forward of the main front elevation of the dwelling, plus the design of the single storey front extension, the proposal would be out of keeping with the existing dwelling and the row of terraces in which it is set and would create a prominent and intrusive feature in the streetscene. The proposal would therefore detract from the character and appearance of the dwelling, the site and surrounding area and would be contrary to the provisions of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly Policies G2, G6, D1 and H13, the advice contained within in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008 and Government Guidance in PPS1.
