Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 28th September 2010
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The site lies within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an area which is afforded particular protection because of its natural beauty, distinctiveness and special landscape quality. The siting of the container harms the rural character and unspoilt appearance of this isolated area. The container is an unattractive and incongruous structure which will not be made acceptable by being painted in an alternative/ recessive colour or by being located elsewhere on the site. Therefore, the retention of the container on the land conflicts with the aims of policies G2, G4, G6, C1, C2 and C4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
