Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th August 2010
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The use of the site for the stationing of a mobile home for a temporary period of 6 years is unacceptable in terms of current housing policy, and conflicts with the aims of policies H6 and H15. The mobile home is sited on land outside the main built-up area of Woodcote at a location where new residential dwellings will not be permitted, and exceptional circumstances have not been presented that would justify the retention of the mobile home.

The appearance of the mobile home is stark and incongruous and it has a detrimental effect on the rural character of the local area, the landscape character of the area and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, contrary to policies G2, G4, G6, C1, C2 and C4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
