Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The replacement UPVC double glazed windows, by way of their inappropriate materials and design details, are unacceptable and have a significantly harmful effect on the Henley Reading Road Conservation Area, which is subject of an Article 4(2) Direction. The windows fail to enhance or preserve the traditional character and appearance of the conservation area. Therefore the development does not comply with Policies G2, G6 and CON7 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, with the principles of the Article 4(2) Direction and with national guidance within PPS5.
