Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to policies CON2 and CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, and to advice contained in PPG15. The proposed extensions and alterations to the listed building would not be sympathetic to the original structure in their design and scale and would dominate and overwhelm the small scale character of the original building. In addition, the proposals involve alteration/demolition of original fabric which diminishes the special historical and architectural qualities which make the building worthy of inclusion on the statutory list as a Grade 11 Listed Building.
