That, having regard to the simple agricultural character of the dwelling, the unspoilt roofslope and the prominence of the rear elevation of the building in the surrounding Conservation Area, the proposed rooflight would represent the introduction of an unwelcome domestic feature that would significantly harm the character of the building and the appearance of the Conservation Area. As such, the proposal is considered contrary to the provisions of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, in particular Policies G2, G6, CON7 and D1 and advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide and PPG15.
