Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 18th November 2009
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The installation of a solar panel on the prominent south facing roof slope of The Well House represents visually intrusive works that would detract from the established character of the Grade II listed building and its setting. In this case, the beneficial effects of providing alternative energy do not outweigh the harm to the historic environment. As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policies G2, C2, H13, D1, CON3, CON5 and D9 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
