Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 3rd August 2009
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The development appears incongruous and unnecessarily large in its rural setting, and serves to sub-urbanise an unspoilt area of the countryside on the banks of the River Thames, contrary to Policies G2, G4 and C3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
The design and scale of the development fails to respect the low-key and modest nature of development in the immediate vicinity of the site, or the special character of the river environment contrary to Policies G6 and R9 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
