That, having regard to the proposed two storey element the front gable would extend past the original front elevation of the existing property causing a prominent and incongruous design feature within the street scene. The proposed extension due to its siting, size and design also fails to respect the proportions and appearance of the existing dwelling and is therefore contrary to Policies G2, G6, H13 and D1 of The South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and guidance contained within the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008.
