The proposed development would result in the loss of trees that are the subject of a tree preservation order and threaten the health and longevity of other trees on the site that are also the subject of a tree preservation order. Furthermore the erection of a dwelling in close proximity to the trees could result in pressure to remove trees in the future. The loss of the trees would be harmful to the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area and as such, the development would be contrary to the provisions of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly policies G2, G6, C2, C9 and H4
