Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 13th July 2009
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Having regard to the scale and design of the proposed extensions including their complicated form, unsympathetic fenestration and inappropriate roof pitches, the proposal would dominate and overwhelm the dwelling and detract from the small scale and simple form of the existing dwelling. The proposed extensions would harm the character and appearance of the existing dwelling and the surrounding area and would be contrary to the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly Policies G2, G6, D1 and H13, the advice in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2008 and National Guidance set out in PPS1.
