Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th January 2008
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regards to the proposed parking and access arrangements, the area shown for parking is inadequate as only one car could be accommodated in the space available and this would require extensive manoeuvring over and along the adjacent footway and footpath. The proposal would therefore lead to increased parking on the local highway network and would be detrimental to the safety and convenience of highway users contrary to policies T1, T2 and D2 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
The proposed development provides insufficient space for amenity and landscaping for the occupiers of the flats and would appear cramped and out of character with the locality and fail to reinforce local distinctiveness contrary to policies H4 and D1 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
