That, having regard to the strong symmetry of the development in Bowmont Water - in particular between nos 85 and 91 Bowmont Water; the raising of the roof of no 85 would compromise this symmetry and harm the visual amenity of this area and fail to reinforce local distinctiveness contrary to policies G2, G6, D1 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
That, by raising the roof of no 85 Bowmont Water, an important gap in the streetscene would be compromised which would adversely affect the visual amenity of this area and result in a cramped form of development contrary to policy H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
