That, having regard to the siting of the dwellings, their relationship to each other and adjoining development, the plot layout and associated car parking, the proposal would result in a cramped and incongruous form of development that is out of keeping with the character of the surrounding area, contrary to provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, Policies G6, D1, H4, and South Oxfordshire Design Guide, Guidelines BP1, BP2, BP3, BP4, BP5.
That having regard to the plot layout, number of dwellings proposed, the increase in vehicle movements and associated noise and disturbance, the propsal constitutes development that has an unsatisfactory relationship with neighbouring dwellings and would detract from the residential amenity of the occupants of numbers 1, 2 and 3 Bridge Close and also the amenity of the occupiers of the proposed dwellings. As such the proposal is unacceptable backland development contrary to Policy H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
