That, insufficient information has been submitted with the planning application to explain whether alternative uses other than residential, have been explored, for the building and found to be unacceptable contrary to Policy E8 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That, having regard to the detail of the proposed conversion, in particular the breaking through of the arches in the north west elevation and the introduction of dormer windows in the south east elevation, much of the building's original character and features would be compromised. The excessive number of windows in the south east elevation would significantly alter the overall proportion of solid walls to openings. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policies D1, G6 and E8 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Part 4.7 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
