Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed works, by reason of their bulk, design, loss of historic features and prominent location would dilute the building's special architectural and historic interest and detract from its character, appearance and setting as a Grade II Listed building. Furthermore, the formation of a link between the two buildings would undermine the existing subservient relationship the barn building has with the main listed farmhouse. As such, the works would be contrary to Policies CON2, CON3 and CON5 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and advice set out in PPG15.
