Having regard to the fact that the porch would obscure more of Glebe Farm's timber framing, the proposed work would adversely affect the character and appearance of the east elevation and diminish the listed building's special architectural interest. As such the proposal is contrary to guidance contained within Planning Policy Guidance Note 15 and Policies CON2 and CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
