Having regard to its excessive height, depth and overall appearance the proposed extensions would result in an incongruous form of development that would detract from the character and scale of the original bungalow and would be unduly prominent in the street scene and out of keeping with the size and appearance of adjoining bungalows. The proposal would therefore be contrary to adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Policies G2, G6, D1 and H13 and Section 4.6 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2000.
