The proposals are contrary to policies G6, CON2, CON3, CON7, C2 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide. Having regard to the unsatisfactory form of the proposed extensions, the proposals would result in development that would detract from the character of the Grade II listed building and from the character and appearance of the Stonor Conservation Area and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
