Having regard to its excessive bulk, massing and scale, and unsatisfactory relationship with the existing dwelling, the proposed extensions and alterations would detract from the form and character of the existing property. As such, the proposed extension is considered to be contrary to Policies G2, G6 and H13 of the SOLP 2011 and advice contained in BD1 and EX2 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2000.
