That, having regard to its size, design and prominence, the dormer window would detract from the character and appearance of the existing Victorian terraced house and would fail to preserve or enhance the character of the Reading Road Conservation Area. As such, the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly Policies G2, G6, CON7 and H13 and the advice contained within the Council's South Oxfordshire Design Guide and PPG15.
