The proposals are contrary to Policies G6, C1 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide. Having regard to its unsatisfactory form, design and appearance, and location on the frontage of the site, the proposed garage with accommodation over would result in the erection of a building that would appear inappropriate, incongruous and out of keeping with the rural character of the area.
