Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of three years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended by section 51 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

That all new works and works of making good to the retained fabric shall be finished to match the adjacent work with regard to the methods used and to material, colour, texture and profile Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That the existing flints shall be re-used in the reconstruction of the wall, that they shall be bedded in lime mortar to match the adjoining wall in colour and texture and that the flints shall be interlocked to match the proportion of flint to mortar in the adjacent flint panels. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That the reconstructed brick piers shall be constructed to match exactly the details of the existing brick piers in relation to size, facebond and width of bed courses and pointing. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That the reconstructed top brick course detail shall match exactly the existing in terms of size, facebond and width of bed courses and pointing. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That any new bricks shall be hand made clay bricks to match the existing bricks used in the wall in terms of size, colour, profile and texture. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That all reconstructed flint and brickwork and any re-pointing shall be in a lime mortar to match exactly the colour, texture and profile of the existing Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That sample panels of both brick work and flint work in an appropriate lime mortar shall be constructed on site and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the relevant parts of the work are commenced and that the sample panels shall be retained on site until the work it completed. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the wall in accordance with Policy CON3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
