Refusal of Planning Permission on 25th January 2007
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the timber out-building, used as the office of Lyndhurst Rest Home, by virtue of its unsympathetic design, siting and materials represents a discordant feature within the Goring Conservation Area and detracts from the visual amenity of locality which is situated in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The development is therefore contrary to the aims of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly policies G2, G6, C2, CON 7.

That the timber out-building, used as the office of Lyndhurst Rest Home, is inappropriate for its proposed use as the permanent office facility of the rest home and detracts from the character and appearance of the main building. The development is therefore contrary to the aims of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly policies G2 and G6.
