Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 18th July 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the traditional form and appearance of the existing dwelling, the proposed extensions would disrupt and break the simple lines of the existing property and involves the demolition of historic walls. The large extension proposed on the north east elevation, in particular, would be overly dominant and would appear awkward and contrived. As such, the extensions would adversely affect the character, appearance and features of the listed building contrary to policies Con 2 and Con 3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
