Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 5th October 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to Policies G2, G6, H13 and C2 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide, in particular paragraphs BD7 and BD11. Having regard to its excessive size, unsatisfactory design and relationship with the existing roof form, and to its prominent siting, the proposed dormer window on the side of the roof would detract from the form and character of the existing dwelling and from the character and appearance of the area in general which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
