Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 22nd September 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed extensions, by reason of their size, location and appearance would constitute an incongruous development, failing to respect the character and scale of the original house and would be out of keeping with the character of the street scene. The proposal would therefore be contrary to adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Policies G2, G6 and H13 and EX2 of Section 4.6 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.

The proposed extensions, by reason of their size, position and appearance would constitute an oppressive and overbearing development, resulting in loss of light and outlook to a bedroom window at No.2 Wayside Green and to the rear-facing rooms and gardens of No¿s 8 and 10 Wayside Green, to the detriment of the living conditions of the occupiers of those properties. The proposal would therefore be contrary to adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Policies G2 and H13 and EX5 of Section 4.6 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
