Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal to display a total of 8 illuminated signs would unacceptably impact upon and detract from the rural character and amenities of the area. In particular the two freestanding advertisements at the front of the site are considered to be excessively large and the external ground based floodlights would result in light pollution in a rural area. In this way the proposal would be contrary to Policies G2, G6 and AD1 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
