Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th July 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to policies G2, G6 and C9 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide, in particular sections EA15, 16 and 17. The erection of the proposed fencing in this prominent position represents an incongruous form of development that would be detrimental to the spacious open-plan character of the area where amenity land is generally free from built forms of enclosure. As such this would significantly detract from the character and appearance of the area and create an undesirable precedent for similar enclosures in the area.
