Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 30th January 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The site lies in a rural location outside any settlement. Planning permission will not normally be granted for new dwellings or for mobile homes in the countryside. The circumstances put forward by the applicant are not sufficient to override established planning policies. The proposal would be contrary to the general and housing policies of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan (Policies G2, G4, H6, H15).
The provision of a mobile home for residential use would represent inappropriate development which would be harmful and would adversely affect the openness of the Oxford Green Belt. The circumstances put forward by the applicant are not sufficient to override established planning policies. As such, the proposal would be contrary to the Green Belt policies of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan (Policies G2, G4, GB2).
