That having regard to its height, massing and scale, the proposed alteration and extension to the roof of the existing dwelling house would result in a dominant, oppressive and unneighbourly form of development which would detract from the residential amenity of occupants of adjoining properties. As such it would be contrary to policies G8 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policy H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft September 2003 and section 4.6 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
That having regard to its height ,massing and scale, the proposed alteration and extension to the roof of the existing dwelling house would be intrusive and detrimental to the visual amenity of the street scene, the character and appearance of the East Hagbourne Conservation Area and the setting of adjacent listed buildings. As such it would be contrary to policies G1, CON7 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, CON7 and CON10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft September 2003.
