Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the backland nature of the site and to the extent of the new access, the proposal would cause unacceptable levels of noise and disturbance to the occupiers of the properties called Byways and Rackley and would detract from the enjoyment of their rear gardens. In this way the proposal would be contrary to policies G2, D4 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
That having regard to the relationship of the site with the existing properties in Wood Lane [particularly numbers 4,5,6, and 7] and to the difference in ground level, the proposed new house on plot 2 would appear unacceptably high, bulky and overbearing and would detract from the amenities enjoyed by the occupiers of these dwellings. In this way the proposal would be contrary to policies G2, D4 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
