That having regard to its excessive width, forward projection and overcomplicated design details, the proposed extensions would result in a cramped and incongruous form of development that would detract from the character and scale of the original house and would be unduly prominent in the street scene and out of keeping with the spacious character of the area. The proposal would therefore be contrary to adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 policies G2, G6 and H13 and Section 4.6 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
