That having regard to the route of the proposed driveway up a steep grass bank and the likely impact of the work on a nearby tree the proposal would neither preserve nor enhance the character and appearance of the Henley Main Conservation Area. Therefore, the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G8, C16 and CON10 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan (Second Deposit) Draft, particularly policies G2, C10 and CON10 and advice contained within the Henley Conservation Area Character Appraisal.
