Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 11th August 2005
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its style, height and location the fence fails to conserve or enhance the natural beauty and special landscape quality of this part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and detracts from the established open and rural character of the area, contrary to Policies G1 and C2 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Polices G1 and C2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan Second Draft Deposit 2011.

That, the partial enclosure of the Common Land with a high close boarded fence detracts from the visual character of the area and represents an unreasonable obstruction of access to the Common. As such the erection of the fencing is contrary to Policy CON21 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
