Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the building is situated in a prominent position in the Thame Conservation Area and the proposal to illuminate the fascia of the building with two spotlights would neither preserve nor enhance the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. Therefore, the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly Policies G1 and CON12 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan (Second Deposit) Draft, particularly Policies G2 and CON13. In addition the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of PPG15 and the Councils Traditional Shopfront Design Guide.
